Patrick M. Jones is licensed in Illinois and Arizona and practices in Chicago, Ill. and Phoenix, Ariz. With more than 25 years of experience, Patrick’s practice focuses on working proactively and collaboratively with businesses and individuals around the world to assure clients benefit from his passion for improving legal processes to avoid and disputes, minimize risk, and maximize asset values, especially in the area of intellectual property rights.
For more than ten years, Patrick taught international law and aviation law as an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law. That gig took him around the globe, coaching law students in competitions in places like Shanghai, Singapore, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. Along the way, he built friendships and client relationships across Southeast Asia, South America, Europe, and Australia.
On May 23, 2025, Refiny marked a significant milestone in its global expansion journey by officially signing a partnership with Rose Law Group, one of the most prestigious law firms in the United States, boasting 25 years of experience in international business and intellectual property law. Mr. Patrick M. Jones and Mr. Hieu Nguyen (Tommy) has officially stated their partnership and began the cooperation of two firms to further enhance their abilities in intellectual property law suit cases.

Some of his notable law cases include:
- Leading a lawsuit for Teddy Stratford Apparel LLC against over 182 infringers violating their trademarks, copyrights, and patents, currently in the Northern District of Illinois.
- Representing over 6,000 pilots in the Boeing 737 Max Pilots Litigation, now before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Working alongside Hanoi’s REFINY Law Firm as lead trial counsel in multiple trademark and copyright cases in the Northern District of Illinois.
Outside the courtroom, Patrick’s a former three-time Ironman finisher, but these days, he channels his energy into art, creating acrylic paintings that aim to capture something special about the world.
